i dont understand how gas was 3 a gallon at the begining of the year or less and by the end it will be 6 dollars. all the time the oil companys are posting the biggest profits ever and the gov says they are not ripping us off. wtf glad to see a pres change maybe the new one will do something bout this sheet.

Yeah, like an investing in alternative energy to free us from foreign oil. That little diddy comes 'round every four years during election time. And each President does nothing to make good on their election year promises.

They only way this is going to change is by private sector companies finding profit in providing energy more affordably with different media. Gas is has been doing it for so long. Technology is either stagnant or the conspiracy theorist may have a point that innovation is being stifled by the puppet master owners of energy.

Someone will devise a better mousetrap and w/ the advent of the internet, it's bound to leak....the trick is finding someone talented and altruistic enough....

Eff the Polar Bears - we need to start tapping into the reserves in ANWAR. If icebergs melt and a few sea lions and polar bears die, I could really care less. All I care about is being able to afford the gas for my 2009 Challenger R/T and smoking ricers and other fruity imports out there on the battlefield! In all seriousness though, most importantly, we need to increase our refining capacity tenfold here in the U.S., ASAP!

Just opened a new refinery here in NJ first in 30 years or something....I think pragmatists will eventually win the day, unless the Evil Doctor Gore has something to do w/ it.

"Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some f----n' muscle."

Just ride a scooter or a bicycle. No more gas problems.
Or get an electric car and a solar energy array to charge it up. Then you drive for free!
I think it only costs around $20K for a good size solar energy array.
Or get one of those itty bitty Smart Cars.
