RE: *ahem* Found this on the 'stang forums
I currently own a 05 Mustang GT and love the hell out of it. I am not impressed with the GT 500, they did not do enough to make it different from the Mustang GT.
MSRP on the GT500 is at 46000 and you cant touch one currently for less than 65000. I have read on other sites that the challenger will be going for 31000, even with the biggest engine option I dont see it being much more than 36000. Lets hope dodge realizes the market for this car and produces great numbers to keep dealers from marking them up.
I want a challenger in my garage, parked next to my Stang.

ive said it before, and ill say it again...
yes, im a pessimist, but i dont think that the challenger will be that cheap...at least not with the 6.1. it would be awesome if it is that cheap as that will pretty much ensure that we will have one, but i really think that since DCX sees the interest in this car, and so many old guys who are never going to drive it are willing to pay pretty much anything for it, its going to be around the price of the srt8 300c.

i was vague there...sorry about that...
i think that the challenger with the 6.1L, if it closely resembles the DETCHA car, it will cost around the same price as the 300C srt-8 model, which is in the mid to low 40s. however, i have heard so many rumors, with some of the most ridiculous rumors stating that it will cost 19,000...
if it costs 19,000, ill buy TWO of them.
