Default RE: 2009 Pricing Announced!

Hi,

does anybody know when the optional equipment pricing for the SE will be available?

I also have a second question:

On Dodge.com I've found a "Challenger 2009 Buyer's guide" which tells that HIDs will also be available for the SE - does anybody know if this is true?

Because the ORDER GUIDE tells something different - i.e. the HIDs are not available for the SE.

Thx for your answers in advance,

Best regards

ORIGINAL: BootCamp

This from RLDs blog posted a short time ago

[b]Challenger R/T Base Price $29,320
Destination $675
27J package $2,135
6-speed tranny $995
Chrome Clad wheels $1350
spare tire $100
electronics conv group $1245 auto / $1060 stick
block heater $40
HIDS $695
MyGIG $1700 base / $1390 as upgrade
Sunroof $950
R/T hood to fender stripes $200
Sirius $195
sound group I $995
sound group II $535 / w/RER $185
leather is included in the 27/28j package

I thought that if you ordered the 27J package it included the sound group I. Also if you order the MyGig don’t you have to get the electronics convince group?

Could someone please post the contents of each package and it's cost? For instance what all is included with the track pack and the total cost? That is pretty much the only option above the base R\T that I am interested in.

Track Pak : Includes 6-speed manual transmission, Hill Start Assist, anti-spin differential (3.73 w/18", 3.92 w/20" wheels), ESC shutoff switch and bright pedals.

That is the package listed for $995

According the the Challenger Buyer's Guide PDF, everything listed in SGI is indeed included in the 27J package except the "6-disc DVD." From the looks of it, if you really want that you'll have to get the SGII package with that, mores speakers and a larger amplifier. SGII is cheaper than SGI because you have to have 27J to get SGII, so you've already paid for most of SGI.

Same thing with MyGig and ECG. Both have UConnect and UCI, so MyGig has an upgrade price if you already have ECG.

Yes, that is the one option that I definitely want. The popular equipment with the leather seats, upgraded stereo, and keyless go is nice, but pricey at just over 2 grand.

OK,now we have an idea as to the MSRP pricing of the R/T challenger and all the options. BUT that doesn't tell us what the dealer invoice prices are which most car search web sites will provide on mos all the other cars out there. So if anybody see any "dealer Invoice Prices " anywhere please post them and that will give us an idea as to how much bargaining room we have. Thanks in advance and here's hoping we all get our 2009's faster than the 2008's are being delivered!!! FATCAT

Try this link for more pricing info.

I don't know how "official" it is, and the R/T page seems a little broken, but there are numbers here I haven't seen before.

Thx WhiteHeat!

Obviously I won't be able to order factory installed HIDs and illuminated cupholders and door pull handles

Hope that it will be possible to install them afterwards...

EDIT:

To be frank, I don't like this policy of the car manufacturers to make some optional equipment available to the high-powered and high-priced vehicles only

It doesn't mean that just because you want to order a SE you don't have 700 bucks for HIDs...

Best regards and greetings from Europe

P.S. I've been trying to post this for almost a week...
