R/T Fans Rejoice!
OH MY GOD……I just found out there are Lamborghinis, Ferraris and even Porsches that can out run my Challenger……..I guess I may as well sell it……
Who cares about your Japanese car…..I could care less….You will never get the same reaction or the same feeling driving it as you do driving a Challenger…you keep comparing applies and oranges….IF you really want a Japanese import….BUY IT…just stop telling us how great they are…if you feel that way….buy it and leave the Challenger to those of us who know nothing about automobiles…..

And as I have already stated I would rather have an SRT8 over a WRX or an STI. In fact I'd rather have an R/T over a WRX. However simply stating facts around here about performance w/regard to other cars immediately causes bruised egos apparently. Some of you guys have way to much tied up in that car of yours.

I think you need to look at the top of this page, it says....Challenger Forum, we are here because we do love the Challenger.....again who cares if this or that car can out run the Challenger....you have missed the whole point of Challenger ownership...perhaps you should buy an import as it sounds like you would be happer with something faster........

What about the price? A base WRX is around 24 grand. Seems like quite a good deal to me for the money. Not to mention it's more practical as a daily driver versus a RWD car - for those of us in the snow.
That said I agree that there is more to a car than just the power and performance for the dollar. The look of most 4cyl turbo imports just isn't something I get all that excited about. Ditto on the exhaust sounds. But you have to give them credit for their performance and the cost at this point.

Read the car and driver. A base WRX is not $40,000.
It's in the link.

A 2008 WRX sedan has a base price of $24,995, including destination, so any increase will be extremely minimal if Subaru keeps its word when the 2009 model goes on sale in September.
