Would you buy the V6?

RE: Would you buy the V6?
I currently have a Ford 3.8l Super Charged V6 and I really like it. It's fast for it's class. It's in a Thunderbird MN12 frame and has a lot of ability for the weight of that car.
Back in the 70's Dodge did offer the Challenger with an I6. For those who wanted the look of the E frame with better fuel economy it was there for them. The V6 isn't a real mussel engine by itself but not everyone wants the ability to go 105 all the way to the packy. I think Dodge would be crazy not to offer it.
I've never owned a pony car when I was a kid because when I finished school the country was in a recession and nobody could get a good job. I went in the military and they kept shipping me overseas so by the time I got out the Challenger was a bit taboo because gas was so expensive. Now I'm 50 and I have a chance of owning a brand new HEMI Challenger again... Christ what’s next, a mini skirt come back by 2009?

I agree they should offer a V6 , it will make my 6.1 worth alot more in 20 years..lol
a V6 challenger is like rubbing one off with a condom on...makes no sense to me

RE: Would you buy the V6?
The only way I would personally buy a V6 is if it was a twin TURBO CHARGED v6 making at least 400HP & GOBBS of torq....
Otherwise, it will be a base model 5.7 Hemi V8 for me....
Because of the MSRP price of the 6.1 & 6.4 Hemi SRT being out of reach...[&o]

Well the Camry has been the #1 selling car in America for about 12 years now. Why you ask:
1. Cost
2. Styling
3. Reliability
4. Gas Milage
5. The confidence that the buying public has in Toyota's products.
6. Safety test proven in the top 5.
That's a start on the facts.

1. Cost (depends on what you are comparing it against, it is not cheaper than the Stratus or Malibu)
2. Styling (maybe, I think it looks dull on the outside but the interior is what gets all the hype)
3. Reliability (perceived reliability, the Camry has had quite a few reliability issues which Consumer Reports has assisted at covering it up.)
4. Gas Mileage (they are actually not the best in fuel economy, the Accord is better at fuel economy and the Malibu has higher numbers than either one, but they are higher than the Stratus)
6. Safety test proven in the top 5. (Yes that is accurate)

RE: Would you buy the V6?
the odds of dodge releasing a twin turbo V6 challenger, or twin turbo v6 anything for that matter, are only slightly better than dodge deciding to GIVE AWAY all 25,000 challengers....
to me.
to me.

RE: Would you buy the V6?
I agree, and that is what aftermarket is for. You know some of these places are probably already throwing out ideas on how to make aftermarket stuff for it already

RE: Would you buy the V6?
well, technically, there already are aftermarket parts, since everything for the SRT8s should bolt up, with the exception of things like headers, as the piping may need to be changed to make its way under the challenger.
