Praise the Lord. I'm finally at D1 status. I was looking at the online tracker and noticed that it showed I went into the confirmation stage on May 23. Where if anywhere can I find the scheduled build date? Do I need to contact the Dealer? Also, I think I found an appropriate song to add to my CD for my first ride. Foeigner's Rev on the Redline.

 

My status this morning is still D1 but the ship date moved from 5/30 to 6/02 ? I guess we'll see what happens ?

tupperware is still at D1 this morning, but my ship date moved up from 6/4 to 6/3!?!?!?!?!? I am reserving any excitement for when the car is actually in transit...[sm=sigh.gif]

 

I just got an email from my dealer.the salesman says the guy with #1 went to "I" status,myself is still in"D". will know in 48 hours if they are actually going to build mine. To me this doesn't sound good,even with a VIN they don't know if it will be built???Any comment guys ????HELP!!!!! MAYBE IT'S 09 TIME

 

Sorry, Mopar...I don't get what you mean. The salesman was being pretty straight forward with me, since he was giving me unsolicited info. Remember, I went in there asking me about the '09s and he thought I was talking about the '08s. In effect, he said the dealership had NO IDEA when the '08s would be shipped, that the Challengers were being held at the factory because Dodge didn't like the "fitting and finishing," he gave me the info on the dealership's sales (or lack thereof, considering the allotment size) and (when he finally figured out I wanted info about the '09s) that the dealership was NOT taking orders for them. I don't think any of this constitutes lying or anything. What's the problem?

 

i agree..he even refused your down payment..seems pretty upfront dealer to me......

 

Actually, snooter, we didn't even get to the point of my offering a downpayment on an '09. I wanted any brochures or literature they had on the '09s and he said the only thing Dodge had sent them was one box of brochures on the '08s that were gone in about three weeks. I then asked if North Star was taking orders on the '09s and he said not yet. Yeah, I think he was being straightforward.
